GRR Review The Family Simon Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by Juliana Stone

The Family Simon Box Set 1 (Books 1-3) by Juliana Stone is a collection of three books about the Simon family. The family is old blueblood, and each of them had been damaged in one way or another, and each of them had been looking for love in the wrong places.

Tucker: Tucker Simon had given up on love because his wife had disappeared on an expedition and it had been several years. He had been drowning his sorrow in a bar and was fond of the bartender / owner Abby Mathews. When a family wedding forced Tucker to bring a date, he asked Abby. Tucker's tendencies for one-night-stands means Abby knew what she's in for, but she wanted a lot more... but is Tucker ready for more?

There were a couple extra twists and turns as both deny their passion for each other, yet again, falls for each other again. Adding some prodding brothers, cousins, and parents and some unexpected developments, this romance can really get problematic with a lot of back and forths. This is the quintessential opposites attract where a rich blueblood falls for a bar owner/bartender who has no idea how pretty she is... And it's very well polished. This one is a solid 4/5

JACK: Senator Jack Simon has a love affair with the famous singer, Donovan "Donnie" James... a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. But Donovan left him, despite loving him years ago. Donovan had her reasons... someone has been holding something very damaging over her... to force her to stay away from Jack. But Jack wants Donovan... and he's tired of taking no for an answer. But can Jack accept the truth?

Wow, this one has some true emotional turmoil in there, that Donovan has some serious problems trying to stay away from Jack when he's the only want she had ever wanted, and Jack didn't know she had to stay away from him and that's some serious internal conflict right there. The twist about why Donovan had to stay away was... OMG, that's nasty. Read the book. 5/5

MAVERICK: Maverick "Rick" Simon is a songwriter / singer hiding out in a little town in New England after a career burn-out and nasty breakup with Ha Hollywood elite. He just wanted to pass the time quietly in town, until he encountered the most unusual woman... Charlie Samuels, the town mechanic, who's too busy raising her little brother after the death of their father, and barely keeping the family business going. Charlie is all wrong for Maverick, yet so right. Charlie is tired of having no self-time, but she knew that Rick is just passing through... She can't afford to give her heart, yet Maverick is the best thing ever to happen to her...

Another "blueblood falls for girl from the wrong side of tracks", this one has some serious attraction between the two that started as just an affair, a quick fling, that turned into much more, but Rick didn't reveal everything about himself, and it's all this secrecy that keeps the tension going... How will each character react when the secret was exposed?

Each of the novels features characters with some serious personality, as none are total a-holes but all have at least some character flaws, including jealousy, but many of them are just too honorable for their own good, in a certain sense. All three are worthy of a read. The author certain managed to write some serious emotional drama into these romances.
