Montana girl Kristine Stone has the courage to get away from an abusive husband, only to run into a crazy foreign suitor who proposed after only 4 dates, and a co-worker who had less-than-honorable intentions. A fellowship in D.C. gave her a new start to work on her passion, and she got to meet Air Force Captain Kadyn Rand, who finally gained access to her heart and made her want to love again... Until one of her ex, now turned stalker, appeared in D.C...The early part about Kristine getting used to DC life wandered all over the place, with chatter between her and office colleagues, her enjoying the park... Do those scenes really serve a purpose? Also, Why does this poor FMC keep attracting the creepy people, who would go as far as kidnap her... and have the resources to do so? The speed that Kadyn's merry band was able to track Kristine down through unofficial channels is pretty astounding, but they are nice enough to wait for local law to assist. Kristine does come out quite strong, but the idea she kept running into this sort of luck made it hard to give this book more than "ok".
