GRR Review Deadly Betrayal by Lee Anne Jones

Deadly Betrayal is basically a steamier version of "The Bodyguard",  with a "the girl/guy who got away" trope.

Dino and January were an item in high school, but they went their separate ways when there is no other way. Fifteen years later, Dino is a bodyguard, and January is a country music star. When a stalker threatened January and was able to gain access to her dressing room almost at will, and someone actually died, January reluctantly accepted a bodyguard... until she found it was Dino... As January and Dino fought their urge to resume things they thought they left behind, Dino realizes the stalker may be closer than anyone suspected...

There is enough mystery around the whole thing and while I knew the perp about half way through the book, I didn't figure out the reason why until the end reveal. There were just too many secrets kept around the whole place that if one of them was honest the whole thing may have been avoided. And let's just say the FMC had too many too stupid to live moments in the book that things got ugly. Still, it's a tolerable "Bodyguard" tale.
