Clara Swanson is happily married to sheriff of Buffalo New York when her husband was mysteriously gunned down by his deputy due to "firearms malfunction". When she found the deputy in her house, rifling through her belongings searching for her inheritance, and nobody would take her complaint seriously, she married herself out West, taking the inheritance money with her. She was reluctant to get close to her new husband as she did not reveal all about her, but when trouble found her any way...
The threat makes no sense. Basically, this deputy, who allegedly can't read, wrote her a letter (!) that she can't get away, that money is as good as his, and because she made him look bad in front of a judge (by accusing him), she's as good as dead. She finally told her new husband, who hatched a plan to catch the bad guy. Except the bad guy brought two buddies with him.
So this deputy, who should be sheriff by now, was able to grab two companions, run all the way out west, just to chase down this supposed inheritance money? This makes absolutely no sense! Who's running things back in New York? What kind of criminal warns his victim any way? And don't get me started on the scene where they caught the bad guy. That's even more idiotic.
The bonus content was basically more of the same: mediocre Western Historical romances.
